From: Jeremy Lockhart [mailto:jeremy@ Sent: Friday, December 04, 2009 5:41 PM Subject: Lockhart Family Email Update Dear Friends and Family, It has been over three weeks since our last update, and God has blessed tremendously. We traveled to several more meetings in the southeast and finally arrived home just yesterday. We are basically finished with our deputation meetings and are now home to rest from these last months of travel and to begin our packing for Brazil. We do have one more mission conference scheduled for the end of January, but if our visas are issued in a timely manner then we may cancel that meeting and head on to Brazil. There is so much work to be accomplished and so many loose ends to tie up that we have a full schedule even without traveling. In our last prayer letter we asked that you pray for our daughter Allie and her recurring fevers. As of now she is scheduled to have her tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put into her ears. The surgery is set for December 21st. We are praying that God would give her complete healing before our departure to Brazil. Also, Esther is having some health issues and is scheduled for an outpatient procedure on December 11th. Please pray for her as well. Many have asked if the visas have come through yet. As of now, we are still waiting to hear from the Brazilian Consulate. We know God has His timing, and are content with that, but are praying that they would come in soon. We cannot buy plane tickets and set a final date for departure until the visas are issued. As we prepare and as we wait please pray that God would give us wisdom and patience in all the decisions we have yet to make. The following are some specific requests you could pray for us: 1) For complete healing for Allie and Esther. 2) For the visas to be issued. 3) For wisdom on the exact departure date. 4) For a content heart as we narrow down what exactly we will take on the airplane and what we will leave behind. 5) That God would go before us and prepare the way in hearts for our arrival. May He bless you this Christmas season as you remember that He was born to die for our sins and raise again that He might offer us the gift of eternal life! We thank the Lord for each of you and appreciate your faithful prayers and support! With Grateful Hearts, Jeremy and Esther Lockhart 704-692-8243 www.BrazilforChrist.net |
